The avatars of Vishnu is a quick read for children’s and adult which tells you about 10 diff avatars of Vishnu and the story about his 1st avatar and how it came into existence。 The story of Vishnu’s Matsya avatar and how he helped preserve life on planet after the terrible flood cleansed the world is an intriguing read for both children’s and adults。 Suggested for children in the 8+ age group。Definitely introduce the young ones in your family to this series。

I have grown up listening to mythological stories and watching animated movies and TV serials based on them for the most part of my childhood， the fascination still hasn't worn off。 Lord Vishnu， one of the Trimurti， had taken birth in various forms on the Earth， and these were known as his avatars。 Among them were— Krishna， Rama， Vamana， Matsya， Narasimha， Kalki， Parashurama and others。 In this book we see Amma narrating the story of Lord Vishnu's Matsya Avatar to the two boys！To save humans fro I have grown up listening to mythological stories and watching animated movies and TV serials based on them for the most part of my childhood， the fascination still hasn't worn off。 Lord Vishnu， one of the Trimurti， had taken birth in various forms on the Earth， and these were known as his avatars。 Among them were— Krishna， Rama， Vamana， Matsya， Narasimha， Kalki， Parashurama and others。 In this book we see Amma narrating the story of Lord Vishnu's Matsya Avatar to the two boys！To save humans from a great flood Lord Vishnu appeared as Matsya during the Satya Yug， his main objective being restoration of peace and humanity。 Manu was the first man created by Lord Brahma， one fine day when he had gone to a riverbank he found a scared looking tiny fish。 The fish asked him of he could provide him shelter in his kamandal from the huge creatures of water。 Manu being the sympathetic and compassionate person he was agreed。 Little did he know that the tiny fish was Lord Vishnu himself。I loved reading this book， the language is easy to comprehend and the illusion are simply stunning。 I would have loved reading this book as a kid。 。。。more
